General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been introduced to protect people’s personal data whenever they are on the internet visiting websites of companies for purchasing goods or services and/or obtaining other information. These regulations set rules about how personal information is processed, stored, used and shared.
As Chivasuka is a Holistic Wellness retreat, we ask our clients to fill out a health questionnaire which enables us to get an inside into their physical and emotional history, current conditions and medication they are on. This information will be used to adjust the program in our retreat to reach optimal effectivity.
During the retreat a consultant makes further notes based on the discussions with the guest as well as written suggestions in order to give guidance and further optimize the guests time during the retreat and for your onward health journey once at home. This document is a so called RETREAT JOURNAL. The guest will be asked to sign for the content of these notes.
The health questionnaire and the consultation notes enable us to have a sound and effective database for physical and/ or emotional healing, rest and recuperation.
We also will collect standard information such: Name, gender, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth and passport number. We also need this information for processing of the booking, invoicing and payments. This information will be stored by 3rd parties who will be handling this processes. Chivasuka will not be responsible for any actions and for the way these parties process personal data. The clients should get this information about the privacy policies with the relevant companies.
The initial health questionnaire and retreat journal information will be stored in our files and will not be shared with any 3rd party. We will keep these files in case of further consultation is needed.

All of our emails for marketing purposes are collected via a manual ‘Opt-In’ function and we only collect email addresses from clients who confirmed by email that they would like to be added to our mailing list. We will only send limited number of communications for marketing purposes via our Mailchimp platform. To be removed our mailing list, you can use the “unsubscribe” button on any of our newsletters.
We might send emails to previous clients and inform them about upcoming events. We might also send information from 3rd parties of which we think it is valuable and relevant to our clients.
Clients can ask to be removed from our contact list at any time in order to delete their contact details from our marketing platforms and email contacts.
